Cumming is one of the smallest incorporated suburbs making up the Des Moines metro area. Located south of Des Moines and west of Norwalk, Cumming real estate consists of opportunities to buy land or acreages for sale.
Norwalk is also home to a trendy, new concept known as an “agrihood”. Middlebrook Farms will ultimately encompass over 1,000 homes, with a wide variety of housing options available. This includes single-family homes, townhomes, apartments, senior living and luxury estate homes on acreages. This community will be anchored by vast agriculture space, including a town farm, neighborhood gardens, community farm, orchards and animal pastures. A series of trails connecting these areas will wind through the community and tie into the Great Western Bike Trail. Middlebrook hosted the coveted 2021 Home Show Expo.
Cumming is home to the Great Western Trail. This 16.5-mile trail passes through town, as well as through diverse prairie and wetland areas. Because of this, Cumming is frequently visited by bicyclists and hikers.
Cumming is served by the Norwalk Community School District.
